I cannot believe that we have reached the last full week of February already. 2017 is flying by so fast!

This is what we are doing this week in class:

US History- We just finished WW1. This week we are discussing the "Return to Normalcy" and the Roaring 20s.

Geography- We continue to focus on the Geography of the United States and Canada. This week students explored the different regions of the United States. They will be learning about each regions states, culture, climate, and geography.

Current Events- We are continuing to listen to NPR's Hourly Updates and watching CNN 10 (Student News) daily. This week we are focusing on stories that have not received much media attention. We are focusing on "The 33" men that survived 69 days in a Chilean mine in 2010. We have listened to an NPR report and are currently watching the film. After the film, there will be a discussion on how and what the media reports and why some topics fall through the cracks.
